MEE conducts communications workshops across the country,
focusing on the most effective ways to reach urban audiences
on issues of dating violence, youth sexuality and substance
abuse. These workshops focus on understanding urban
culture, understanding the media's direct and indirect
influences on youth, and on developing communication
strategies for reaching youth and other audiences. These
workshops serve as a primary way of conveying our research
findings to youth-service providers and community-based
organizations. They also allow us to continue our work
of community capacity-building on a national scale,
as we send attendees back to their home communities
with new knowledge and a fresh perspective on urban
populations. For more information, click
