The research and video were produced in collaboration with the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minority Health Professions Foundation in Atlanta, to examine intimate dating violence among Black urban teens, ages 16-18. While violence and aggressive behaviors clearly do not characterize the majority of dating relationships among urban youth, reports of their increased occurrence, and acceptance by so many of the focus group participants should be a serious concern to all.

The sessions also address the underlying factors, which contribute to dating violence and identify the provocative acts that may lead to violent and aggressive behavior. The video helps facilitate discussions with teens on dating violence.
